PPF (paint protection film) is a physical film applied over your paint. It takes the hit from stone chips, scratches and road debris. Ceramic coating is a thin liquid layer that adds gloss and makes washing easier, but it cannot stop a stone chip. Many owners use both: PPF for protection, coating on top for shine.
PPF basicsTPU is the premium choice. It is more flexible, stays clear for longer and has a self-healing top coat. TPH is a budget-friendly option that still protects against daily scratches and dust, but it does not self-heal and can yellow sooner. If you plan to keep the car for years, go with TPU.
PPF basicsMil is the film thickness. 8.5 mil (about 216 microns) gives the strongest protection against stone chips, ideal for bonnets, bumpers and front ends. 7.5 mil (about 190 microns) is a little more flexible, so it wraps tight curves like mirrors and bumper corners more cleanly.
PPF basicsOur TPU films have a self-healing top coat. Light swirl marks and fine scratches fade away with heat, from the sun, warm water or a heat gun. Deep cuts that go through the film will not heal. TPH films do not have this self-healing layer.

PPF basicsNo. Coloured PPF sits on top of your factory paint and protects it at the same time. When you want the original colour back, the film can be removed by a professional, leaving the paint underneath in the condition it was protected in.

Allow the PPF film approximately one week to settle before your first wash. After that, hand wash your vehicle using a pH-neutral car shampoo and a soft microfibre mitt to maintain its clarity and finish. Avoid harsh chemicals, abrasive brushes, and directing pressure washer nozzles at the film edges to prevent peeling or damage.
